In 2008, Spain will receive again to the elite of the skating of world velocity to celebrate the 10mo anniversary of the dispute of the World Championship CIC 1998 carried out in the City of Pamplona.

The costal city of Gijon (Asturias) will be responsible for hosting this event in September where it is expected some 60 nations from the 5 continents will attend.

The track events will be held on a new covered bank track in the area of Mordea while the road will be held on a fantastic road circuit in the Mestras which has a capacity to hold 10 thousand spectators. The closing event, the Marathon, will be contested along the picturesque streets of the city.
