Venezuela will host the 2010 CIC World Roller Speed Skating Championships.

Having checked the candidates for the 2010 CIC World Roller Speed Skating Championships, the CIC has designated the City of Barquisimeto, Venezuela, as host city of the 2010 competition.

he Venezuelan candidate has satisfied all the requirements set by the CIC to host the World Championship event.

This will be the second time that Barquisimento will host the World Championships, having previously hosted the event in 2003. The 2010 event will see more than 700 athletes from all over the world taking part in this weeklong adrenaline rushing competition.

The Organizing Committee expects to have 60 countries competing in Venezuelan. The track and road races will be held in the Pedro Leon Torres Skating Complex which will be rebuilt to meet the new technical regulations of the CIC.

The exactly date is to be confirm but the championships will be held in October 2010 for both junior and senior categories.

Barquisimeto 2010 Organising Committee will present e it’s official invitation at the upcoming 2009 CIC World Roller Speed Skating Championships in Haining City, P.R. of China.
