The
CIC Inline Downhill World Championships celebrated its
tenth year cementing the growth and the evolution of
the discipline around the planet.
Ten years ago the Austrian city of Zell am See organized
the 1st event under the banner of the International
Roller Sports Federation (FIRS) and the Committee of
international de Course (CIC).
More than 200 athletes from 24 countries marked a new
historical record for the Inline Downhill family showing
the incredible boom that the activity crosses around
the world.
The small village of Teolo located 15 km away from Padvoa
situated in the beautiful Eugino’s Hills which
organized the event in 2006 again hosted the CIC Inline
Downhill World Championships.
CIC President Roberto Marotta traveled to Teolo to support
the inline downhill competition. “It was great
to stay in Teolo, they organized and amazing championships
which set a new record of athletes participating. It’sa
big step to consolidate the inline downhill discipline
all over the world” Marotta said.
